BUSINESS PROCESS ANALYSIS ( 3 DAYS )

Business Process Reengineering has been an extremely popular concept over the last few years. Unfortunately, most BPR approaches lack a consistent methodology for doing business process analysis and redesign. The Ken Orr Institute has developed a methodology called “Business Remodeling” to attack this area. This seminar will discuss the framework for doing business process analysis and redesign based on proven techniques and automated tools for analysis, redesign, and prototyping of proposed solutions.

ENTERPRISE DATA ARCHITECTURE ( 3 DAYS )

Over the last decade Data Modeling and Data Architecture have been recognized as key modeling approaches in building integrated, state – of – the – art operational systems. With the advent of Informational Systems and Data Warehouses, the need for these models has grown at the same pace as their complexity. Because Data Warehousing applications address larger business issues and time frames than do operational applications, new models need to be designed that are different from those developed for operational systems. This seminar discusses the important factors in developing Data Warehouse Database Designs and the role that  Enterprise Data Architecture plays now and will play in the future.

VERY RAPID APPLICATION DEVELOPMENT ( 3 DAYS )

It is possible to develop advanced client – server applications in a very short time using Very Rapid Application Development ( VRAD ). However, only a relatively small number of organizations around the world are using it. The Ken Orr Institute has been a pioneer in software development technology since the 1970s, and has developed a seminar that shows organizations how to merge Extended Business Modeling, Technology Planning and Architecture, and Very Rapid Application Development. This seminar also explores how these techniques can be integrated with Project Management.
